What is Glaucoma?


Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the world. Often difficult or inappropriate medical treatments can be replaced by new laser technology.
   
New technology start-up of the Israeli gifts IOPtima could be considered a breakthrough in the treatment of glaucoma, and conversion surgery, difficult and rarely done in a routine way in a range of eye surgeons worldwide. The treatment is in the carbon dioxide laser, similar to the process normally used for the skin.

According to its proponents, this new instrument, has already been given the first prototype in November 2007, the presence of an inexperienced surgeon operating on a patient with glaucoma, simply and with less risk also as an eye doctor when cataract is simple.
